Multiparametric indicators for hydrogen peroxide vapour sterilisation control MVI-H2O2.

MVI-H2O2 are used for monitoring the required concentration of hydrogen peroxide vapour during the sterilisation process. They find application in the Sterrad system technology® and every steriliser using a low-temperature form of hydrogen peroxide vapour. Placing the MVI-H indicator2O2 inside the pack (on the tray or packaging) controls the correct amount of hydrogen peroxide pairs at the place of placement. The colour change of the indicator part from pink to a uniform yellow colour or lighter gives the user information about the correct penetration of the sterilising agent.

Application

Browne MVI indicatorsTM they form part of the sterilisation process documentation system. The readout result must be recorded in the appropriate section. The controlled effectiveness of the processes translates into a reduced risk of hospital-acquired infection. The MVI indicator subjected to the process should be stored as evidence of a correctly performed sterilisation process.

After use, indicators must be stored away from sunlight.

Prior to use, the indicators should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and oxidising substances.
