V-PRO maX 2 low-temperature steriliser STERIS's system is designed for the sterilisation of reusable medical devices that are sensitive to high temperatures and moisture. The system uses gaseous hydrogen peroxide and enables a controlled, fully automated process.

Sterilisation chamber with a volume of 136 litres it allows for the processing of diverse loads, including compatible metal and non-metal items, lumened and non-lumened instruments, and selected endoscopes.

V-PRO maX 2 low-temperature steriliser – operating principle

The sterilising agent is the preparation VAPROX® HC. Hydrogen peroxide is converted from a liquid to a gaseous state in the vaporiser. The process takes place under low-temperature and low-pressure conditions, meaning it can be used for compatible equipment that is sensitive to heat and moisture.

The system does not use a plasma phase. Upon completion of the process, the gaseous hydrogen peroxide residues are converted into water and oxygen by a catalytic converter. The load is ready for further use once a properly executed cycle has been completed.

V-PRO maX 2 sterilisation cycles

The device offers cycles designed for various types of compatible instrumentation:

• quick cycle,
• cycle for instruments with channels,
• cycle for non-channelled instruments,
• cycle for compatible endoscopes.

Each cycle consists of three essential phases: conditioning, sterilisation and aeration. The choice of cycle should take into account the design of the product, the type of load and the instructions provided by the manufacturer of the equipment being sterilised.
