Efficacy testing of endoscope cleaning using STF HexaLumen enables checking of the flexible endoscope washing process in Wassenburg washer-disinfectors.

The STF HexaLumen Endo-test is a surrogate test device consisting of six channels with a length of 1500 mm. The channels were made of PTFE Teflon, which is characterised by resistance to chemicals as well as high and low temperatures.

Construction of the STF HexaLumen device

At one end of the device are capsules designed to hold HX601 test indicators. At the other end, colour-coded connectors are used, matching the connectors located in the chamber of the Wassenburg WD washer-disinfector.

The most important elements of the system:

  • six PTFE test channels,
  • length of each channel: 1500 mm,
  • capsules for placing HX601 indicators,
  • colour-coded connectors,
  • connectors compatible with the Wassenburg WD washer-disinfector chamber,
  • dedicated holder for contactless insertion of indicators into capsules.
