Multi-parameter indicators for monitoring formaldehyde sterilisation MVI-FO

MVI-FO indicators are designed for monitoring the correct concentration of the sterilising agent during the formaldehyde sterilisation process. Placing an MVI-FO indicator inside a pack (on a tray or in packaging) controls the correct amount of water-formaldehyde vapour at the location where it is placed. A colour change of the indicator section from blue to a uniform green in the indicator section provides the user with information on the proper penetration of formaldehyde vapour.

Application

Browne MVI indicatorsTM they form part of the sterilisation process documentation system. The readout result must be recorded in the appropriate section. The controlled effectiveness of the processes translates into a reduced risk of hospital-acquired infection. The MVI indicator subjected to the process should be stored as evidence of a correctly performed sterilisation process.

After use, indicators must be stored away from sunlight.

Prior to use, the indicators should be stored in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and oxidising substances.
